International Certificate in Close Protection

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been developed for those looking to obtain a formal qualification working as a close protection operative within the private security industry but who do not have the right to work in the United Kingdom and thus cannot obtain an SIA licence. The qualification has been designed with sector experts specifically for international learners; it has taken into account recognised best-practice principles. The qualification provides an excellent basis for international learners who may wish to undertake further security qualifications.

Who delivers this qualification?

Argus only uses tutors with significant sector experience and only ever delivers using a team of instructors. A subject such as close protection should be delivered by more than 1 tutor to ensure that there is broad enough expertise to ensure that the subjects are covered with significant depth. Argus has long term relationships with tutors, most of whom have come through the Argus school themselves.

How is the training delivered?

The course is a mixture of classroom lessons and practical scenario based training. Each lesson must be consolidated with a period of actually doing the activity or the students and instructors will never be 100% happy that learning has been understood. We run our courses in a relaxed, friendly manner but impress upon students the seriousness required of a security professional.
